A patch test is where we apply the hair color to the skin, let it develop and wait 48 hours to check for any allergic reactions. RECOMMENDED FOR: People who have had an allergic reaction before, or people who have sensitive skin. Always recommended prior to any first time chemical processes.

A strand test includes coloring a very thin piece of hair to see how your hair will react to the color or lightener. Recommended for: Fragile hair when going lighter, Henna in the hair, or to test different formulas of what you're looking for. Does not include coloring the hair back to original color or wash & blow dry.
